Eli Chamberlain It
might sound trite, but Eli cannot remember a time when she wasn't singing--like breathing in and breathing out. Trained
in choral music and opera, her education listening to 70's and 80's pop and country radio as a kid was equally important
to developing her musical style. A vocal chameleon, Eli is at home singing the soulful tunes of Natalie Merchant, the edgy
folk songs of Iris DeMent and "new classics" by Allison Krauss. She can melt you with her warm, earthy
sound or break your heart with the gritty catch in her voice. "As much as I love singing for a crowd," Eli
says, "singing with my friends, working out harmonies, getting to hear Joy and Alex play-- that's the best part.
The audience is icing on the cake!"

Alex Holsinger Alex provides the group's solid musical background with warm and rhythmic
guitar playing. He's been exploring and experimenting with music since the age of 5, playing piano and violin, and then
in college he taught himself to play guitar. His ability to move between musical styles is what gives On The Record the flexibility
to sing a tender ballad in one moment and a raucus country tune the next. Alex's tenor vocals sound sweet and clear singing
harmony with Joy and Eli, or raw and energetic out front on tunes like "I Hear Them All" and "Wagon Wheel."
He says playing with On The Record is an unabashed joy.

Joy Zimmerman A classically trained musician, Joy lends a polished edge to the trio with her skillful violin playing. Even though
her Mom tried to get her to play the piano, a tenacious 5-year-old Joy knew that the violin was her instrument. While
violin may be her first love, Joy's always adding to her musical bag of tricks, picking up mandolin, bass and guitar.
She says singing into the microphone is an adventure, but don't let her fool you; her naturally rich voice adds a dreamy
texture to every song, whether she's singing a high floating harmony or a low driving line. According to Joy, "playing
with On The Record is the thrill of a lifetime. I can scarcely belive my luck that I get to make music with
great friends and share it with others."
